Q: What is the SafeSkin?

The SafeSkin is a silicone shell accessory for the CR series. It can be attached to J4 to J6 joints on the robotic arms. Within the silicone shell are the components that sense for changes in electromagetic waves, which allows for the detection of foreign objects that comes into a close range. The SafeSking provides pre-collision detection capability to the CR series.
